E-Prescriptions
An Electronic Prescription, or E-Prescription, is a digital version of a paper prescription. During consultation, health care providers are able to send electronic prescriptions as an SMS or email.
All medications can now be prescribed using electronic prescriptions, able to be stored on your device and accessed at your convenience. E-Prescription’s aid in saving time, streamlining the process and improving medicine safety.
How do I get an E-Prescription?
- During consultation with your doctor, choose the option of electronic prescription. Your doctor will send the E-Prescription to you as an SMS or email
- Take the SMS or email to your local Foote’s Pharmacy, or send it to them
- Collect your medicine. If you are collecting in person, ensure you bring your E-Prescription so it can be scanned. If you are getting your medicine delivered, forward the SMS or email to your local Foote’s Pharmacy for scanning
- If you have repeats, a new SMS or email will be sent to you when your medicine has been collected
